Proactive Automated Redaction

Greene County wanted to give their citizens online access to files, but they had justifiable concerns that internet access to these files could put constituents’ private data at greater risk for identity theft.

Since existing processes and workflows were already being redesigned for online records access, Greene County felt it would be a great opportunity to add automated redaction at the same time to maximize efficiencies.  The county had to manage approximately 250,000 document pages annually.

They released an RFP, looking for software to help them accomplish their goal of not only handling the quarter-million new pages they were receiving, but also to redact their backfiled pages at the same time.  They were able to solve this problem through automation.
