Orange County
“Auto-indexing & redaction were critical components to meeting the orange county clerk-recorder, Hugh Nguyen’s, goal of making recorded documents available to the public in 48 hours.”
-Dana Ohanesian, director of administration
Orange County had an ambitious goal to provide public access to recorded documents within 48 hours after receiving them. To do this, they needed to both index the documents and also comply with California AB 1168, which required California Clerk-Recorders to redact sensitive information from all public documents filed from 1980 to the present.
By using an intelligent automation solution, Orange County was able to prioritize new documents coming in to stay current with day-forward filings while taking care of their large backfile project in the off-peak times.
Extract Systems provided them a quick way to redact sensitive information while simultaneously indexing the record. Please fill out the form to the right and download the case study now to learn how.
