In 1997 the Consumer Sentinel Network (CSN) was established to create a secure online database to track complaints filed with the FTC, state law enforcement agencies, and Federal agencies like the IRS and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Many credit card databases contain information that is simply not needed and this information results in unwarranted risks. It is especially unwarranted because these credit card databases are getting probed all the time.
Even if all the information is needed, using redaction techniques like truncating a portion of the information may save customers from identity theft of personally identifiable information. Redaction would help protect the data but still make the database useful. Extract provides that service for our customers on a regular basis.
