Regional Director of Sales

Strategize, lead, plan and carry out direct sales activities for Extract’s data and document handling software and services platform.  Help create and execute the marketing plan as marketing success means sales success.

Reporting to: Vice President of Sales

Location: Madison, WI

Job Objective: Generate revenue


Key responsibilities: 

External: Tactical sales responsibility including phone contact, web demonstrations, attendance at tradeshows and conferences, public speaking and face to face meetings.  Work with team members to increase the flow of deals through the pipeline and the effectiveness and speed with which we close deals.  Develop and maintain warm relationships with industry opinion leaders, prospects and customers through high value written and spoken communication.  Sharp writing skills will be especially beneficial as proposals are often required.  Act as your customer’s advocate within Extract Systems especially during the implementation phase of the software and/or service delivery.

Internal: Develop a command of Extract’s technologies and combine this with an understanding of our healthcare market’s need to automate document handling and to capture discrete data and to manipulate this information into actionable data.  Engage in strategic discussions regarding sales, marketing and new product development. Manage and grow the sales pipeline with a focus on reducing the length of the sales cycle.



  • Healthcare sales experience working with and the ability to engage your personal contacts in any or all of the following:  CMIO, CMO, CIO, Directors of HIM, Transplant, IT, and Laboratory

  • Five years of experience selling and negotiating complex and technical software contracts in the $50,000 to $300,000 range.

  • Knowledge of automated document workflows experience

  • Based in Madison, WI

  • Record of sales performance

  • Bachelor’s degree
