MedDE Automated Data Capture for Medical Records

Electronical Health Record (EHR) and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) conversions are often designed to capture go-forward patient/provider interactions. This results in a big gap in historical patient records, even after million dollar implementations. The remaining paper records become a financial and security liability.

We understand the complexity of health-related data and your need to contain costs while continuing to improve quality of care. MedDE gives providers a more holistic and information-driven picture of every patient when it matters most - at the point of care. Plus, MedDE quickly pays for itself by eliminating records storage and retrieval costs.

MedDE Transforms Paper Health Records into Electronic Patient Data in Three Steps

  1. Legacy records are scanned using the leading OCR and OMR technology to ensure the best possible image quality. The image is stored in a data file.
  2. Image is run through automated capture technology and classified by document type. Relevant patient data is extracted and transferred to data entry staff for validation.
  3. Abstracted information and the link to the scanned  image are transferred via HL7 interface to the EMR. Strict confidentiality of the information is maintained.
