Alameda County, California Clerk‐Recorder Selects ID Shield™ Automated Redaction Software
Madison, Wisc., ‐ August 19, 2009 ‐ Extract Systems, a leading provider of data indexing and redaction software, announced that ID Shield™ Automated Redaction Software has been selected by Alameda County in a national RFP process to provide redaction to the Clerk-Recorder's office. California Assembly Bill 1168 requires all California counties to protect citizens from identity theft by removing Social Security Numbers from official records. Alameda County will redact Social Security Numbers from approximately 25 million public records recorded in the county between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 2008.
Extract Systems' technology partner, Fidelity National Technology Imaging (FNTI), will provide document conversion and verification services. The FNTI and Extract Systems team was the highest scoring vendor on every evaluation criterion, receiving a perfect score for technical expertise and high ratings for redaction experience.
