"Extract listens to partners and customers and adds functionality to their software that helps me do my job better. When my customers asked for more reports, Extract enhanced ID Shield’s reporting capabilities with a custom reporting framework that tracks processing and verification productivity. Extract works extremely hard to provide the best quality product that meets their customers’ needs."
MADISON, Wisc., – June 25, 2008 - Extract Systems deployed ID Shield automated redaction software in several Montgomery County Government Offices to combat our nation’s fastest growing crime – Identity Theft. In 2007, Ohio residents filed 7,178 identity theft complaints. The Clerk of Court, Probate Court and County Recorder are addressing this alarming trend by securing sensitive information within their documents. After an extensive evaluation of redaction providers, Montgomery County determined that ID Shield provided superior results at a cost effective price.
ID Shield is scanning over 23.7 million publicly available Montgomery County recorded documents to locate and redact sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, Drivers’ License numbers and Debit/Credit Card numbers. ID Shield’s redaction zones protect private information with a burned in, non-removable black rectangle, preventing a would-be identify thief from viewing the sensitive data. Montgomery County documents are stamped with a watermark, alerting users that they are viewing a redacted copy of that record.
“Montgomery County chose Extract Systems after a thorough review of responses to our RFP on redaction efforts,” said Gregory Brush, Montgomery County Clerk of Court. “It was obvious after this review that Extract delivered the expertise and reliability that we had hoped for.”
Montgomery County officials were impressed by ID Shield’s ability to accurately locate sensitive information in a wide array of records. Its flexible design integrated easily with the County’s existing document management systems. Extract Systems’ experienced technical team had already delivered a successful redaction solution for the Ohio Secretary of State removing sensitive information from UCC filings.
